fruit….
Fruit gets a bum rap because it contains sugar. But most food products sold today are either genetically modified or are high in artificial preservatives, especially fast food/restaurant food. So the natural sugar in fruit, along with the convenient natural packaging is the superior on-the-go option. Not only is fruit low in calories, but it also contains vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, antioxidants, fiber and some are perfect hydration for the body and skin.

vegetables….
Vegetables are an excellent source of antioxidants, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients.

drinks….
Add a little flavor to water by diffusing it with fruit. OR – I like to infuse pineapple or a fruit mix with water before setting out for a summer morning run. I just fill a small cup with fruit and pour water over it. When I return, the fruit is fully hydrated and an even more refreshing as thirst quencher after an early morning summer run.
